Greyhound Adoption
Please Note: The greyhounds in our care are not formally cat-tested.
If you are interested in offering one of our greyhounds a home, you will need to read all of the information below and click the ‘Adopt’ button beneath the greyhound you are interested in. This will lead you to our Homing Criteria and Adoption Application Form which you must complete and return to us so that we understand your individual circumstances. As part of this form, we require you to send photos / videos of where the greyhound would live/sleep and also of the garden to check for security – a ‘virtual homecheck’!
We understand that you will be excited to meet your potential new friend but please bear in mind that we are a small independent charity and all of our team provide their time on a voluntary basis. Following receipt of your application form we will contact you as soon as possible. We are also available to answer any other questions you may have so please contact us.
If your application is successful, we will find a greyhound which we think is best suited to your home, family and lifestyle and make arrangements to bring the dog to your home for a visit. If all goes well, you will soon be welcoming your new pet into their forever home! When homing a greyhound we always stay long enough to ensure you have bonded with your new pet and that he/she is settled and happy in their new surroundings and continue to be on call to answer any queries during the settling in period.
All our greyhounds will be neutered and have dentals as well as vaccinations updated if necessary. In the event that the dog is rehomed prior to this happening, arrangements will be made with the new owner to have these done at the earliest opportunity. We supply everything that you will need for your new friend: a collar & lead, house collar, plastic box muzzle, homing pack, bag of food and outdoor coat appropriate to the time of year/season. We ask for a donation of £150 to help cover our costs and enable us to help more greyhounds waiting for their forever homes. We advise that you get a raised feeding stand – these can be supplied for a small charge.

Maddie
Available
This 5 year old brindle girl has sadly been returned to our care and is looking for a home with someone who is experienced in looking after greyhounds. She is lively and affectionate and would best suit an environment without small animals or children. Could you offer Maddie a second opportunity for happiness?

Milo
Available
Milo is a very happy, friendly lurcher who has recently come into our care after his owner sadly passed away. He is approximately 3 years old and knows basic commands, including holding his paw up for a treat (clever boy!) Milo could live with another greyhound or other larger breed dog and older children but not cats or smaller animals. If you could offer Milo a new loving home, please get in touch.

Meet Victor. He is 3 years old and is looking for his forever sofa to start his retirements in peace and comfort. He is a little on the shy side until he gets to know you. If you’d like to give gorgeous Victor a home for the New Year contact us now.
